26th September is the European Day of Languages. This year the Council of Europe together with the European Commission are promoting Languages for Peace.

This day is also a celebration of democracy, freedom and solidarity.
Linguistic diversity is part of our European identity and accepting it means reaching intercultural understanding.
Learning a language can be a fun exercise. Take animal sounds for example. They sound different according to the language you are speaking.
